About Faith

Faith McCune joined the dog sports world rather late in life.  Her first venture into agility came when she adopted her first purebred Australian Shepherd from a local breeder.  She was so impressed by their Hall of Fame Kennel designation and saw the numerous dogs they had bred holding all kinds of titles and championships, she almost felt obligated to try something to keep up the tradition.

Corrie came into Faith’s home in 2003.  After raising and living with Duffy, their first Aussie, she was a breeze!  She was also very intelligent and biddable.  Her favorite game was chasing balls and she never tired so agility was a perfect game for her.  As the years went by, Faith decided to find a trainer to teach her how to compete in Obedience and Rally so Corrie would have something to do when she retired from agility.  By this time, she was 8.  Unfortunately, she only had two more years of life, but what she learned and was able to endow to Faith was a legacy of knowledge, skills, and bonding that was passed down to her current dog, Danna.  Faith’s eternal gratitude to Rita Wolkiewicz who taught Team Corrie to earn a few titles very quickly under her tutelage.

From the moment Danna became a member of the McCune family in 2014, many of the skills Faith learned with Corrie were taught to her from Day 1.  Faith believes that you build from the lessons you learn from the first to find the greater potential of the next.  Danna did not disappoint.  She has far exceeded the titles and championships that Corrie was able to attain.  That’s not to say that Corrie was not as talented.  It’s just that Faith became a more able teacher.  So, from these humble beginnings and with all the instruction, experiences, and her love for dogs, Faith hopes she can inspire and aspire within you to achieve and find greatness through Rally with your dogs.
