Memory Lane

A Dog's Creed

I was born to be a loving, forgiving, and guiding creature made in the likeness of a dog. Somewhere in the world, there is someone looking for me, someone who needs my help and love. It is my purpose to seek them out.
If I am lucky enough to find my special someone when I am very young, I will do my best to adhere to the training I am given, no matter what Nature’s bidding requires. If it takes a long time to find my special someone, I will continue my search until I can seek no more.
I will give my unconditional love to those who care for me and forgive their angry words or harsh hands because I have been given a responsibility yet unknown to them. You see, my task is to guide, care for, and help my special someone to a life happier and more fulfilling than they were able to achieve on their own, before I appeared.
A life without purpose, or one lived in anger, loneliness or solitude is not the way humans were meant to be. Instead, I will lovingly engulf them with my energy, bring friends they will cherish, and share experiences they will remember for a lifetime.
But the day shall come when I must leave my special someone to advance alone. It is then I will make my journey back to where I came, over the Rainbow Bridge, to be with my own doggie friends, until I am called to do my work again.

In loving memory of Corrie
3-1-03 to 5-16-13
and dedicated to all the dogs
we have loved and lost.

I called him “my happy boy” because he was happy every moment he came to the fieldThe funniest scene he created was stealing all the toys out of two rings when we had a fun match and proudly paraded it around in his mouth as we tried to corral him backHe just had a knack of making us laughHis joy is sorely missed.
GRAHAM
MOHEGAN
GOLDEN RETRIEVER
He was a true talent in Rally, garnering high scores from the very beginning. He started the sport late in life, establishing himself well in the agility ring first and went to and ran very well at his first nationals competition a few months before his sudden passing. He always aimed to please, a friendly and obedient soul. How he loved to chase balls! May he find many balls to his liking at the Rainbow Bridge.
